Team Swingers Win the Ballantine’s Team-Am Title This Time!

The 9th edition of the Ballantine’s Team-Am Golf Challenge in Pattaya concluded in fine style on 4th October with the prize presentation dinner hosted by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at the Siam Country Club. Deputy Director, TAT Mumbai Khun Pimpingfar C Arya was present to talk to the participants about Pattaya as a destination and also give away the main team prizes.

There were many prizes for individual competitions with Ketan Desai of Birdie Machines from Mumbai winning the Best Individual Net and Aditya Gupta, the Best Individual Gross Stableford, but as always the main focus was on the team prize. While there was close competition all along between teams from Delhi, Vizag, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh, it was once again Swingers who played the best golf as a team to take the top prize. Easily the best golfer, this tournament series has seen, Aditya Gupta showed the way with a brilliant and consistent individual performance and in the process took his personal tally of top finishes in the series to 10. He was ably supported by his teammates Sidharth Chaudhry, Simran Sachdev, and Pankaj Sharma to help Swingers win the title for the 2nd time.

The 3 courses that played host to the event – Siam Old Course, Siam Waterside and Siam Plantation were appreciated by one and all for the layouts, the course condition and the services including caddies, lockers, and restaurants. The event succeeded in showcasing Pattaya as a top golf destination – Just an hour and a half drive from Bangkok Airport, a wide array of hotel options, world-class golf courses within 30 minutes driving distance from the city and a plethora of dining, nightlife and entertainment options.

Golftripz is thankful to all participants who continue to come back year after year to this event. Golftripz also thanks Ballantine’s who have supported this event for the last 9 years as well as Tourism Authority of Thailand who have always supported this event in Thailand.
